1989 » My One and Only

In September of 1989 I transferred to Towson after attending a two year college in NY. As I moved into Tower C, I ran into Lance. We had a mutual friend from back home and she had introduced me to Lance in August so that I would know someone at TSU. Lance was also living in Tower C and we became friends. The second weekend of school Lance invited me to an off-campus party at his friend's apartment. Having nothing to lose, I went to the party. While out on the balcony at Brad and Ron's apartment I met Jon. Jon was supposed to be on the lookout for a girl named Stephanie who was transferring to TSU that semester from a two-year college. The "Stephanie" that Jon was supposed to meet turned out to be my roommate! Lucky for me I met Jon before she did and we hit it off that first night. In Lance's room the next morning Lance told me that Jon asked for my phone number. I told Lance to give it to him and the rest as we say is history! We began dating and were married in May of 2005. Eighteen years later I have my undergraduate degree in ECED, my masters in Reading, an incredible husband and two beautiful daughters. TSU 1989 was a year that I will never forget!
