My number is 6! Facing a midlife career change I set my sights on leaving an industry career to pursue a PhD that would transition me to a career in higher education. Standing in my way was a requirement of 6 calculus credits before I could even apply to a PhD program. I had avoided taking calculus all through high school and college - at 36 I had to bite the bullet. I came to TU and two outstanding professors in the Math Department got me over my fear. I entered the PhD program at College Park and 4 years later returned to TU as an Assistant Professor of Supply Chain Management. I am starting my 6th year on faculty and love it.
