This was the month and year I graduated. School wasn’t as easy for me as it was for some students, so I was happy to graduate from Towson State University. My father and mother were extremely proud, since they only had elementary school educations. I then graduated and taught 2nd grade for 3 years. After my son’s birth, I went back and taught preschool and, for 30 years, became the coordinator of a well-known preschool called God’s Little People. I was named best teacher in the magazine Baltimore’s Child and received a Channel 13 salute for my teaching. I attribute my accomplishments to Towson.
