After three years at Towson and lots of changes from dorm life to RA life till now, my appreciation for Towson has reached its peak! The number 9 represents the number of my new apartment complex in Towson. I feel that I have accomplished so many things since arriving at Towson. I have gained an independence through my Towson experience and I am now living on my own with awesome roommates- one step closer to the Towson graduate I would like to be!

I chose nine because many numbers of my history at Towson can be made into nines. I first came to Towson as a student in 1972 (7 + 2 =9) as a transfer student. It was at Towson that I decided to become a teacher. My professor in the College of Education sparked my passion for teaching Reading and I received my Masters in Reading from TSU in 1981 (8+1=9). This then led to a 19 year career as a reading specialist. During that time I also had the delight to be the parent of TU student when my daughter was here in the '90s. Then my favorite coming to TU was in 1999, when I earned my doctorate and came to Towson as a professor in the Graduate Reading Program. The picture I have included is with my grandson, who already has a collection of Towson University wear.
